Chrome Hearts 101 - Guidebook For Fans and Newbies

What is Chrome Hearts and who is Richard Stark?

Chrome Hearts is a luxury biker silver and leather designer label. Founded by Richard Stark in 1989, Chrome Hearts as a brand has grown from strength to strength, moving into the international jewelry arena where it now successfully takes on established names such as Tiffany's in the Gothic silver jewelry niche market. Today, Chrome Hearts (sometimes also known as CH) stores can be found largely throughout the US, Asia and Europe. Within the United States, it has set up shop in Hawaii, California, New York.

Beyond the Atlantic, it has established boutiques in Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and France. The brand's flagship store, which recently expanded to 7,000 square feet in gross floor area, sits proudly in the heart and womb of Asia's fashion capital: Tokyo's Aoyama district, where the brand powerhouse commands the adoration of thousands of Japanese silver fanatics, who throng its shop on a daily basis. Richard Stark's product line is vast and varied. Each boutique features clothing apparel, accessories, and even household peripheral and furniture. What remains closest to the hearts of all who love the brand though, remains the mainstay and backbone of the Chrome Hearts business: its sterling silver Gothic jewelry line of products, often known as biker jewelry or simply Gothic silver jewelry to fans and adherants to Gothic culture.

Richard Stark's History and Inspiration

As a once odd job laborer who lived many years of a rugged lifestyle as a carpenter, leather seller and avid motorcyclist, founder Richard Stark was determined to fuse and express the various elements of his life in developing his brand. As such, Richard Stark's history (as an avid biker, a gifted carpenter and leather salesman) features compellingly throughout every product his brand has to offer.

Sterling Silver Biker Jewelry

Today, every CH boutique in the world is fitted with custom-made ebony cabinetry and sterling silver hardware as a testament to Richard Stark's history as a carpenter. Richard Stark's love affair with biking culture though, expresses itself mainly through its sterling silver Gothic jewelry. Chrome Hearts sterling silver Gothic jewelry is characterized by bold, powerfully daring, and often anarchistic designs, such as his trademark ring incorporating obscene and vulgar words and catchphrases. Despite the Gothic mood and vulgar themes underlying CH jewelry, its sterling silver biker jewelry line is anything but gaudy, distasteful or base. On the contrary, Richard Stark's biker jewelry is exceptionally detailed and skillfully crafted from pure sterling silver. Each design is unique in its beauty, appearance and individuality, making each purchase the start of an enduring love affair between buyer and item.

Showing Your Fashion Accessories With a Jewelry Stand is a Great Concept

Jewelry stands are a great idea for any women with jewelry. For so many different reasons, displaying fashion accessories with a jewelry stand makes sense.

No body likes clutter. Having your jewelry collection on display means having it organized. Your jewelry is all together in one place. Your Jewelry is ready to use when you need it. Nothing is hidden in a drawer, or in another room. Nothing is forgotten or lost. The entire collection is together, everything is accounted for.

Having the accessories out makes it easier to remember to use them. Is this not the reason why you own them? Do you remember that green pendent that matches your green dress perfectly? It would be a crime to wear the dress and forget the pendant. You cannot use things you forgot you had.

Pretty things should be seen anyway. They do not do any good or serve any purpose if they are closed away in some drawer. There is no reason why these lovely objects cannot be on display. They look beautiful and should be kept out. The best place to keep them is near a dressing mirror.

Necklaces will never get tangled if they are hanging properly on a stand. When they are anywhere else, they mysteriously get severely tangled. How many times have you had to spend half an hour untangling a necklace? When you are getting dressed to go somewhere, the last thing you want to do is struggle with a knotted chain. Nobody wants to deal with tangled jewelry. Sometimes, it is impossible to fix!

If you remember, the last necklace you admired enough to buy was also on a stand. If it had not been for the stand, You may have not seen it. This proves that the stand accomplishes what it was meant to do. The stand helped to call your attention.

There is no vendor that does not use jewelry stands in their store. Stands are used for displaying all types of jewelry including bracelets, rings and earrings. The stands are easy to use. Jewelry can be removed and added easily. Stands are essential for drawing sales. No store selling jewelry are without them.

Because jewelry is not expensive, women can own more of it. Costume jewelry is beautiful and all woman enjoy keeping up with the latest trends. For the price of a real diamond necklace, women can opt to have a multitude of different fashionable costume accessories and never run out of choices of things to wear.

Today, women own more jewelry then ever. Those old, wood boxes with the squares just don't hold anything anymore. Women need something better to organize that never ending collection. In the past, jewelry stands were very hard to find and not often available to the general public. Only now, can one find these special treasures. They were once available only to retail buyers. They are available in awesome styles now.

Nothing would make a cuter gift either. A jewelry tree is a perfect gift for a young teen starting her own jewelry collection. They come is so many designs and colors. Regardless of your age and you favorite jewelry, Displaying fashion accessories with a jewelry stand makes sense.

Jewellery For the Theatre, Darling

Hi guys, I work in the costume department of a famous West End Theatre. I absolutely love my job; I basically get to go shopping, a lot. Jealous? No, seriously it is a lot of fun, I get 'into character' and I go shopping 'for myself', so for example right now we are doing a play about a kooky primary school teacher who cannot find the right guy, so I pretend I am she and I go shopping in Camden Market looking for 'kooky' outfits.

To be honest finding the outfits is pretty easy, there are so many clothes shops and markets and second hand stores out there that I don't really have to go too far nor try too hard. The hard (if you could call it that) bit of my job is accessorising. And it is probably the most important part of my job too. A locket around a girl's neck creates so much more mystery than beads, but beads says that the girls is more free-spirited and hippy-ish. Costume jewellery and fashion jewellery says so, so much about my characters and these seemingly small choices pile up into the image we have in our heads.

I very, very rarely buy clothes for my characters online, but I often buy fashion jewellery online, it is so much easier than traipsing through markets and around the city. For the character I was telling you about, the kooky primary school teacher, I have been using a lot of Lola Rose Jewellery. Lola Rose has come to prominence in the last few years because of celebrities like Danni Minogue and Kate Middleton, but Lola Rose has been in my accessories box before celebrities like that had even heard of it.

Lola Rose make these beautiful, chunky, colourful fashion rings, necklaces and bracelets out of semi-precious stones. It is ideal for the modern 'kooky' look that I need at the minute. You see A LOT of imitation Lola Rose on the High Street, but holding an imitation and holding a Lola Rose, you can immediately tell the difference in quality and finishing. So any one interested in costume jewellery bracelets, fashion rings or costume jewellery necklaces - you have to try Lola Rose.

Conclusion

Lola Rose has made my job - accessorising, a lot easier than it should be. Lola Rose is becoming increasingly popular and with that popularity comes ever more imitations - it really annoys me, so I just want people to be aware of the difference between the real thing and the fake!

Evil Eye Beads and Jewelry - History, Meaning, and Lore

Humans have long believed the eye symbol to be an amulet that wards off evil spirits. History references the use of "evil eye" beads in the ancient Orient and Sumeria from 3000 B.C. This belief is still prevalent in Turkey and areas of the Middle East, where many believe that when someone sees your good fortune and is envious, some type of bad luck will befall you. In fact, it is thought that any type of praise, even well meaning, has some form of greed and jealousy attached, and can cause harm. In that part of the world people with colored eyes are believed to be especially harmful with their unusual and enchanting gazes.

To protect against the negative energy of envious looks, people of Middle Eastern societies often use an evil eye bead, or talisman, to redirect the bad spirits back onto the world and keep the bearer safe. Turkish people call the bead "Nazar Boncuk" and versions of it are seen everywhere in their culture. Whether it is displayed at the entrance to a home or office, attached to a baby's clothing, or hung from a car mirror, the intent is the same, to disperse the bad luck away from the owner.

Evil eye beads are a single eye image typically set in a blue background color. Usually they are made of glass but other materials include agate, common stone, and Lucite. Blue is symbolic of water and prosperity in the Middle East, where it is a precious resource. Red is also a common color, as Jewish lore associates red with luck and good fortune.

There are many different colored evil eye beads used in jewelry, and they are worn as a fashion accessory as well as a good luck charm. A brief search on the internet reveals evil eye beads sold as charm bracelets, pendants, rings, and anklets. Thanks to on-line websites one can find antique and newly manufactured beads alike, in an assortment of styles and sizes to coordinate with any wardrobe. As a result they are becoming more visible in Western cultures. Look for them to become collectible items, especially in jewelry as their popularity grows.

A Key Necklace Will Unlock Your Heart

One fashion item that is extremely hot lately is the key necklace. You know what I mean, you have seen the Hollywood starlets wearing what looks to be antique keys around their neck. What has not changed, though, is that women love jewelry. And why not, there are just so many things to love about it. There are so many dimensions to a beautifully crafted necklace or pendant that it is worth it here to mention them for your further consideration. Not only is a key necklace a beautiful way to express your fashion, it is also a thought provoking way to express your inner desires and secrets. Let us take a few moments to consider the key necklace, and why it is so popular today.

First off, these necklaces started out as strictly antique style keys that women adapted in to a jewelry show piece. Not just any key would do, but these are the keys you would see in movies that occurred in a time when a women would never show her ankles in public. These ornate, solid looking, and historic looking pieces look like they should be used to unlock a treasure chest of goodies, or perhaps they unlock the door to a secret passage way. These antiques pieces are traditionally made from either wrought iron, brass, or copper and this what is being offered today. They will come in various sizes from the small lock keys that are not more than a half in long, all they way to the very long three and four inch keys. Either way, this is how it has started with the key necklace and now it has grown in to a fashion statement that is much bigger.

The key necklace is just not limited now to the antique key look, but more sparkling and jeweled offerings can be found now also. One popular style is the sterling silver necklace made with brightly polished and sparkling genuine precious metal, with a silver chain to match. You will also see this style of pendant necklace finished in twenty four carat gold, or perhaps fourteen carat for those that want a more durable finish. These gold key necklaces look absolutely stunning and should be a part of your growing collection as well. Finally, if you are looking for a more ornate piece then there is the diamond key necklace. These are becoming more popular now as this fashion trends starts to take a few twists and turns. The key is either silver or gold, and it is studded with usually small diamonds to accent the ornate curves and bends of the key.

What is particularly special about the key necklace is that is says something about you and your inner woman. Exactly what is says is a mystery that only you hold the key to unlock to only someone special. The very obvious statement is that you and only you hold the key to your heart, and it will take someone very special before you give it away. This special necklace could also represent the fact that you are the possessor of some very fascinating knowledge, and if someone is brave enough to approach you that you just may be willing to share it with them. And finally, for the very special woman the key necklace is a representation that you are a valued treasure just waiting for the right person to share it with. These are some of the very special inner secrets that the key necklace can represent to you, and I am sure that is a significant factor that makes them so popular.

Caring For Your Key Necklace

It seems that most women really love to wear jewelry. If you take the right piece of jewelry, and know how to accessorize it with your outfit, it can make all the difference in the world. Not only will your favorite pendant, necklace, earrings, bracelet, or watch make you look stunning if selected carefully the pieces themselves are fun to collect. What I see many women neglect to do properly however, is care for their jewelry so that it will look its best at all times and last for many years of enjoyment. You really should take the time and learn how to maintain your collection, because if you ever have some vintage pieces you will want them to look their best for the times when you pull them out and need them to make you look your best. Let us take a few moments to discuss some of the points to know so that you can care and maintain for your jewelry collection most effectively.

First off, you should dedicate a regular schedule to do some minor care of all your jewelry pieces. All it really takes is once per month and sit down to set aside time just to keep them in good condition. This part of your maintenance schedule is very simple, all that is needed for you to do is wipe off each piece with a soft cloth of either cotton or linen to remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated. Try to get the spots that really collect the grease and grime like the spot in between clasps, or jewels, or other connectors. For pieces that have difficult to remove dirt spots you can use an old tooth brush and some soap and water and this process should remove it very easily. When you are all dome you can take a soft cloth and polish your pieces and they will be ready for use during the upcoming month.

If you one of your jewelry items is extremely dirty you may have to take it to the sink to try and remove it. Turn the tap water on so that it is warm and use mild dish soap and a sponge to help remove the grime. Simply apply a little soap to the sponge and then rub it on to the dirty area, and usually this will do the trick to take the dirt away. You do not want to place jewelry so that it is covered in water, you just want to use the sponge to get it wet. You do not want to use any scrubbing type of cleaners with the jewelry as this will easily scratch the surface of your fine piece. Make sure that when you are finished that the jewelry piece is completely dry before putting it away.

There are some specialty jewelry cleaning compounds that you can try if you wish. Some of them are specific to the type of metal you piece is made from so make sure you select the proper type. You should also know which products to avoid because if you use the wrong one it would damage your jewelry piece permanently. Never use any products that contain ammonia, acid, vinegar, or alcohol as these will react with the metal and corrode the finish. Also, to avoid scratching your jewelry, also take them off before going in to the shower or washing your hands in the sink. Following these cleaning guidelines will ensure that you can enjoy many years of wearing your jewelry, and if you treat it right it will definitely help you to look your best.

How Jewellery Is A Style Statement

It is not difficult to seek out items that can better suit a man's fascination with wearing jewellery.

Men wear jewellery for several reasons.

They may dress yourself in jewellery for informal or formal events such as a night out at the town or even a special date for any special someone. Initially, such decorations were only made by beads, metals, glass, bones, wood, stones, etc.

Wear With Pride

Whilst women can, and try to continues to be allowed to put on any type of metal or jewelled adornment, men have customarily been more limited in the styles and forms of jewellery they be dressed in. What Does the Pan American Road Race Have to Do With the TAG Grand Carrera Watch?

Ever hear of the Pan American Road Race? It was a very popular event in the world of race car driving back in the Sixties, down in the dusty back roads of Mexico. It was the pinnacle of both danger and excitement for road racing. Well, what does this famous offroad racing event have to do with a sporting timepiece? Everything.

You see, it was back in 1964 that Tag Heuer designed a series of luxury timepieces that were inspired by the Pan American Road Race. More specifically, it was based on the GT coupe racing engine used by the Carrera. It has since gone on to be known as the sports timepiece of choice for racing enthusiasts the world over. Why?

Because, like the race car, these watches are designed with precision automotive engineering specifications. With its rotating system, watch enthusiasts can view the seconds, another chronograph readout and the date, all at a glance. All with precision timing.

It is not accident that the Tag Heuer Grand Carrera is at the peak of Swiss-made luxury watches. Not just because of its superior functionality, but because it makes its wearer look good. Real Good. Replica Watches Offered on the Internet

Currently, with the rapid development of Internet Marketing, more and more retailers run their business online. Business of replica watches is no exception. You will be surprised that there are so many kinds of watches offered online. It is not bold to say that no matter what brand or model you are searching for, you will find it here. Besides the astonishing amount of them, their amazing prices surprise people as well.

There are lots of imitated watches of world famous luxury brands offered online. Instead of the highly priced tags of original timepieces, they are surprisingly cheap. Prices of these replicas are far below the cost of the authentic. You can easily enjoy the luxury and beauty of luxury watches without spend extra penny. Quality replica timepieces are almost 100% mirrored the original ones and can offer the same feel and precision for the wearers. The quality of them is incredibly high. In some cases, even the watch professionals will feel hard to

spot.

Till now, after having browsed so many kinds of replica watch online stores, I have some ideas of identifying if the shop owners are credible and reliable. Simply to say, sellers who have great reliability always work hard to guarantee that their customers will buy the ultimate grade replica timepieces. They put great effort and dedication on checking the quality and function of their products, preventing the appearance of inferior quality watches. Besides, they focus on the customer service and feedback as well. Most of their products will be carefully delivered in nice fitting boxes and directly send in front of your door. What's more, they guarantee perfect after-sale service, making sure those customers happy with their shopping anytime.

If you're a newbie of the deal, you have to spend some time on it. Before making your order online, you'd better collect much information about the sellers and check their customer feedback carefully, preventing from being cheated or scammed. If you have no idea toward that, you're strongly recommended to buy from sellers that your friends or families once have pleasant shopping experience with.

Currently, buying replica watches online is considered as the most convenient way to access luxury. If you want to keep up with the lasted fashion trend, look no further than replica timepieces offered online. They will not only exactly keep track of time, but also symbolize the wearer's fashion taste and personality.

Gold Earrings Buyers Guide

Whether you are buying gold earrings as a gift or for yourself it is important to know the true value of the jewellery you are buying. The first thing to mention is the carat purity of the gold. This is the purity index used to evaluate the amount of gold in any piece of gold jewellery. At the very bottom of the scale is 1ct. This means that for every milligram of gold, other metals make up 23 milligrams. Normally jewellery begins at 9ct purity. Gold plated jewellery can have a carat value for the plating and different metals making up the bulk of the object. Any solid gold jewellery needs a hallmark to be sold in the United Kingdom but the hallmark alone does not guarantee the jewellery is gold. Silver and platinum jewellery also needs a hallmark to be sold in the United Kingdom. A three digit number should be engraved into the metal which indicates its purity. These numbers range from 375, which is 9ct and 999 which is 24ct.

Gold Earring Designs

Firstly, the classic hoop gold earrings are often too large to be made solid so they are hollowed out for comfort but the metal they are made from can still have high carat purity and this determines the price. Next is the classic tear drop shape gold earring. As opposed to hoop earrings these are normally smaller and can be made from solid gold. When the main section of the earring is attached directly to the bar which holds them in place, this is known as a stud earring. This design is also small enough to be made from solid gold and may be embellished with one or more precious stones.

Gemstones for Gold Earrings

Diamonds are a very popular stone to use for gold earrings. Depending on the carat mass of the diamond, the stone can account for the majority of the price. Although diamonds are one of the strongest substances known to man, they can be split from specific angles. Skilled jewellers are able to set diamonds in such a way that means none of these angles are exposed once the stone is in place. Another widely used gem is Peridot, this stone is vibrant green in colour and although Olivine (the constituent mineral) is a relatively abundant, gem quality Peridot is quite rare. You may also find earrings set with Opal. The majority of this mineral is produced in Australia. This gem can be found in a variety of colours ranging from white to black. The most common being white and green while black and red is the rarest. Amethyst is a precious type of quarts. Formed in volcanoes, these stones are generally violet but when exposed to heat they become yellow. Modern production techniques mean that this stone can be manufactured as opposed to being mined. Distinguishing natural and manmade amethyst is very difficult. Another gem commonly used in earrings is Topaz, at its purest Topaz is transparent but often impurities give the stone a hue. Topaz is often processed to give it a particular colour. Rubies are also used for earring decoration. Stones made from corundum which are not red are classified as sapphire.

At the time of writing this article, a gram of pure gold costs around £23-£24. You could expect to get a set of 9ct solid gold earrings, set with Opal, Topaz or Amethyst for under £100 whereas rubies or diamonds significantly change the price and depending on their size and quality can account for upwards of £200. The carat mass of the gold used will also make a significant difference but remember to check if they are simply plated or solid gold.

Inari Gems - Find Confidence Today, For Abundance, Success and Prosperity Tomorrow

THE MINDSET OF THE MANY

We all want to be successful, and gather the material wealth which in turn would enable us to exercise control over the course of our destiny. A successful person's mindset is unique: it is a relaxed, confident, and optimistic mindset. As years go by, we all encounter rejection, frustrations and unhappy experiences. The typical mind collects all these unfortunate memories and cherishes over-analyzing them to death, rehashing each and every bad detail, and forcing the person the re-live these sad experiences, over and over again.

The overall effect dampens the spirit, engulfing the person in a cold, wet blanket of gloom. This amounts to a state of emotional exhaustion, as the person is self-traumatized by a backstabbing over-active negative mind. Held hostage by sad prior events, the person views the future with distrust and anxiety. Life is perceived as unjust, unfair and hard, to a point where there is little point even trying. As a result of this mindset, the person becomes emotionally numb: one just goes through the motions, unable to recognize and take advantage of the opportunities which present themselves.

THE MINDSET OF THE SUCCESSFUL AND RICH

A winner's mind refuses to engage in convoluted over-analysis. A successful person's mind brushes rejections aside, as if they never happened. A rich person's mind forgets and moves on, minimizing the gravity of stumbling blocks in the greater scheme of things. By not allowing itself to get bogged down in unhappy memories and negative thinking, the mind employs free-flowing creativity to examine the situation at hand from fresh new vantage points.

By oozing positivity, the person comes across as being desirable and in-demand, as life is all a matter of perception. In turn, this attracts interested people into your life... the type of people which recognize and reward your natural talents and abilities, and the kind of people that have within them the power to materialize your dreams and aspirations. Thought creates matter. Positive thought attracts progress and opportunities for success, while negative thought creates a cycle of life stagnation and material self-destruction. Hence banishing negative self-talk is the first step towards turning your life around, and living a life filled with joy, abundance and prosperity.

Gold and Silver Necklaces - A Buyers Guide

If you are looking for a gold or silver necklace to wear either on its own or with a pendant and would like to know a little more, this guide should provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision. Necklaces are normally a series of one or more types of link interlocked to make a chain. The carat index is used to measure the purity of gold. This is often expressed by a hallmark consisting of 3 digits engraved into the piece. These commonly range from 375 (9ct - the most dilute) to 999 (24ct - the purest). Silver has a similar index which should also be engraved into the piece. These range from 750 (lowest) to 999.9 (highest). Sterling silver (which is commonly used in jewellery) should have '925' engraved somewhere on it.

Link Types

Silver and gold necklaces are made from a variety of different types of link. Belcher links are normally torus (ring) shaped and interlock at 90 degrees to the next link. Curb Links are the classic shaped link used for chains outside of jewellery. They can either be made flat or undulated. In either case each link joins to the next at the same angle so when laid flat all links can be orientated the same way. Cuban links are a similar shape to curb links but their width makes each link almost circular. Bead links are spheres with a hole bored through to allow a strand to run between them. A spacer may be used to keep the beads at a uniform distance. Rope links give the impression of a single woven strand by interlocking the links into a spiral shape.

Pendants

You may wish to attach a pendant to the gold or silver necklace you are purchasing. The only thing to keep in mind is the type of links used for the chain. If the necklace is going to be worn with a sizable pendant the shape of the links in the necklace are worth considering. You will want to choose a rounded link which allows the pendant to move freely without snagging. One such link is the belcher link. In the event you choose a necklace is not suitable for your chosen pendant, a responsible jeweller should inform you of the reason and suggest a different necklace.

Costs

The price of silver or gold necklaces are generally governed by the purity of the precious metal used to make it and the weight but in some cases designer branding can further increase the price and handmade jewellery generally costs more than jewellery that has been built by machine. As an example, 9ct solid gold necklaces are generally less than £100 where the handmade equivalent could cost upwards of £500. Remember this does not refer to gold plated jewellery (which costs significantly less).

Byzantine and Medieval Gold Jewelry

Antique and Early Byzantine Jewelry continued in the Roman tradition. Christian themes didn't begin to emerge until the 5th and 6th century. The carat system of grading gold originated in Byzantium where their coin, the solidus, was divided into 24 keratia. Antioch and Alexandria were the greatest centers of gold jewelry production until the 6th century when Constantinople overtook them. Gems began to dominate over gold work but niello and pierced work were still very popular. The Byzantines excelled at enamel work as well. This was a period of great wealth. When Emperor Anastasius died in AD 518 he left 320,000 pounds of gold in the treasury. In the 7th and 8th century the jewelers in Constantinople enjoyed great prestige that extended far outside the empire. One of their necklaces has been found in a royal grave in China.

The 1st crusade at the end of the 11th century was at least as much about greed for gold as it was about religion. Early Medieval goldsmiths relied on captured or traded gold because very little gold was produced in Western and Central Europe at the time. In contrast, the Arab world had access to the rich gold resources of Nigeria and the Gold Coast.

After AD 700 the economic strength of Byzantium also drew gold out of Europe. The gold was traded for Byzantine luxury goods like silk, cotton and linen. As a result, silver became the metal of choice for European jewelry and coins. During this period European jewelry styles were also strongly influenced by Byzantium.

In the 14th and 15th centuries, when the invention of the water wheel allowed mining in new areas, new sources of gold were found in Europe and more gold jewelry was manufactured. By the 15th century, standards were set and enforced for gold content in Europe. In England, in 1478 all gold and silver had to be brought to London to be tested and stamped. Inspectors roamed the country for non compliers. Scales had to be tested as well. By the 15th or 16th century, Europeans also had draw plates with levers to pull wire.
